Renowned Tibetan Thangka painter, Karma Phuntsok, will again guide a small group of participants to paint a Tibetan Buddhist Thangka (spiritual painting).

Karma's work has been collected and displayed by major Australian art galleries including Queensland and NSW Art Galleries. Karma has trained in traditional Tibetan painting and shares the oral Buddhist Thangka Painting traditions during this course.
Karma will be assisted by qualified Art Psychotherapist, Claudje Lecompte, who has an interest in Buddhist philosophy and art and runs The Open Studio – New Farm.

Primed A3 Stretched canvas (16x20 inches). You might like to prepare this canvas by applying a couple of coats of Gesso and lightly sanding between coats to give a smoother (though not totally toothless) surface.
Acrylic paints (recommended brand is Matisse Structure or Flow if Structure is not available - artist quality):
